The phone.systems™ 2.5 version is live

We continue to expand the feature set for our cloud PBX platform, and are pleased to announce the release of phone.systemsTM version 2.5. The latest release delivers the following enhancements:

  • New Internal Number UI features - the Internal Number configuration window now includes two tabs:

A. “List” Tab - allows users to create, edit, remove and locate internal numbers, with numbers being displayed together with the name of their assigned Internal Number object. Newly configured internal numbers may be allocated to other resources such as Internal Number objects and contact methods as and when required.

B. “Directory” Tab - displays a list of those internal numbers that have been logically connected to phone.systems™ objects on the workspace, together with the names of those objects. This directory may be optionally exported in .csv file format.

  • New Phone Number UI features - the Phone Number configuration window now includes two tabs:

A. “List” Tab - allows users to create, edit, remove and locate phone numbers, with numbers being displayed together with the name of their assigned Phone Number object. Newly configured phone numbers may be allocated to other resources as and when required.

B. “Directory” Tab - displays displays a list of those phone numbers that have been logically connected to phone.systems™ objects on the workspace, together with the names of those objects. This directory may be optionally exported in .csv file format.

  • New Lost Calls charts - the Lost Calls charts are now located under a separate tab within the Call Logs window, and four different charts clearly display the amount and rate of lost In/Out calls.

  • Rendering engine improvements - phone.systems™ is now able to support an unlimited number of objects on the workspace, allowing of the implementation of complex call scenarios for the large enterprise.

  • call.center™ device integration improvements - miscellaneous updates include:

A. SIP status display - this status is now displayed in the phone.systems™ Contact Center, making it easy for users to determine which devices are active.

B. Moving call.center devices™ - it is now possible to move call.center™ devices from one contact to another, facilitating the efficient reallocation of resources.

  • New OneDrive Delivery Method - OneDrive has been added to the list of delivery methods for audio and text files, along with the already available Dropbox, Email, FTP server and Google Drive delivery methods.

  • Miscellaneous UX improvements - a number of upgrades have been included to provide a more practical user experience such as:

A. Default names for objects - newly created objects are automatically provided with default names to expedite the configuration process. These default names are of the format {tab_name} {service_type_name} {object_type_counter}, for example, Sales Ring Group 8.

B. Updated object icons - the icons used to denote various objects have been updated, resulting in an improved UI experience.

C. Delivery Method search - users may now search for a configured Delivery Method by email address, username or delivery method name, enhancing the usability of complex voice systems.

D. “Test connection” feature for FTP delivery method - in phone.systems™ 2.5, it is now mandatory to test the FTP connection before saving that delivery method, thereby preventing any possible misconfiguration.
